From the Director and crew of last year's
blockbuster "Arindhum Ariyamalum" comes this
youthful entertainer "Pattiyal". The name of movie
itself created lot of hype in the media right from
day one. The movie stars Kollywood's young guns Arya
and Bharath.
Pooja and Padma priya plays their ladylove. The
music is scored by Yuvan shankar raja and camera by
Nirav shah. Director Vishnuvardhan is very happy
with this team that succeeded with Arindhum
Ariyamaulm and continues to keep faith on them.
The movie revolves around two orphans, friends,
gangsters and their lives. Bharath is deaf and dumb
and he is taken care of by Arya. Their life is full
of struggle and all they know is poverty and need
for money. They grew up to become gangsters in the
outskirts of Chennai. Sami , a political servant
offers them money for their risk of life to kill
people. Padma priya plays a typical lower class
girl, who works in a knitting factory. She is in
love with arya and wants to marry him. She advises
them to leave this job and lead a peaceful life.
Bharath meets Pooja , who works in a medical store
and they both fall in love. The life of these four
people forms the base of the story. They always
dreamt of all 4 living together and leading a happy
life.
Pooja comes to know about their activities and plans
to separate from bharath. Bharath plans to leave
this life and live for pooja , but at the neck of
the moment they get a golden oppurtuinty from sami
to murder a politician for a lump sum amount.
Bharath denies at the beginning considering pooja,
but later on accepts this final episode for Arya and
their lifes. They both decide to do this final
episode. The night before this act Arya gets drunk
and decide to stay back with Padma priya . Bharath
leaves alone to do this final episode.The incidents
after this are portrayed beautifully in the last
half hour.
Bharath has given a stunning performance as a deaf
and dumb ganster and his action sequences and bike
stunts are just amazing. His acting in the climax
makes one feel for their friendship. Arya has proved
his character and played a decent innings. Pooja has
done her job well . Her love sequence with Bharath
has won her many hearts. Padma priya has lived
typically to her role.
The background score and music composition by Yuvan
Shankar Raja needs a special mention. He has just
provided some lively tunes and proves why he is the
No.1 music director in Tamil Industry today.Nirav
Shah's camera angles is just amazing . His camera
works in action seqenences are a treat to watch.
