'Appropriate action' to make Tamil official language in HC
 



Chennai: Centre would soon take" appropriate action" on making Tamil the official language in the Madras High Court, Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily today said. Speaking to reporters after calling on Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at his residence here, Moily said it was a courtesy call. It was Moily's first meeting with the DMK leader after winning the Lok Sabha elections. He said during his interaction with Karunanidhi, the Chief Minister had requested him to make Tamil the official language in the Madras High Court.
