Bala's next is Avan Ivan

Chennai, Jan 26  Filmmaker Bala, who has been adjudged Best Director for his Tamil film 'Naan Kadavul' at the 56th National Film Awards recently, promises to tickle the funny bone of the audiences in his upcoming venture. Announcing the launch of his next film 'Avan-Ivan', Bala promised more humour content in 'Avan Ivan', the story about two siblings, played by actors Vishal and Arya.  Film will start rolling shortly and will be completed within six months. Janani Iyer is one of the heroines, replacing actor Sarathkumar’s daughter Varalakshmi, who was the first choice. Avan Ivan is produced by AGS Entertainment. Yuvanshankar Raja scores the music.

He chose to thank his crew members for 'Naan Kadavul' for the National award and not God saying "he (God) played no role" in front or behind the camera. The director, however, regretted his lead characters in 'Naan Kadavul', Arya and Puja, were not selected for national honors.
