Theatre owners want Kuselan producers to fund losses

Thanks to true tamil people , the new tamil film 'kuslean' reportedly bombed very badly at the box office. Rajnikanth's comments about the Hokenekkal issue is being considered the main draw back for such a colossal failure.  It wouldn't make any sense for a common person to apologize and appease karantaka lunatics at the cost of antagonizing tamil people , who are responsible for Rajinikanth's stardom. However people have always proved that nothing else comes in front of true Tamil spirit.

They have already proved few points for the acts of selfishess, when the actor openly canvassed for ADMK and BJP, PMK won all the 6 constituencies with great majority. Hope the actor realizes this and make sensible judgments in future. Even then would people believe him like before is a very big question mark.

After the much-hyped 'Kuselan' starring 'superstar' Rajnikant reportedly failed at the box office, theatre owners in Tamil Nadu have demanded that producers of the movie fund a bulk of their losses.

The Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners' Association on Saturday said they must be repaid at least 75 per cent of the losses as against the 35 per cent reportedly promised by Rajnikant himself.

Recalling their recent meeting with the actor, association president Panneerselvam told reporters here that the actor had promised to repay 35 per cent of the money paid by them. But since that would not meet the losses, that proposal was turned down by the association, he said.

He alleged that the producers had cheated them by saying that `Kuselan' was a full-length Rajnikant movie while in reality the actor had only played a guest role.

Earlier, a similar demand for repayment was made by the Kancheepuram-Tiruvalluvar Districts Theatre Owners' Association following the movie's poor run in these districts.
