Need more Archaeological research

Palayamkottai: Archaeological
excavations and research should be conducted at
Aditchanallur, Poompuhar and Korgai, which would
help throw light on history of ancient Tamils,
Tamil Nadu Finance Minister K. Anbazhagan has
said. During recent excavations at
Aditchanallur, near here, earthen urns dating to
3000 BC were found, he said. Korgai and
Poompuhar are located near Tuticorin and
Thanjavur. Youngsters, especially the
educated youth, should develop habit of
involving themselves in the pursuit of such
research and excavations, he said.
