Priyadharshan signs $20 million pact with Woodpecker Pictures

 

Director Priyadharshan who has taken more than 60 films in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi and who has also won the Indian National Award for film in 2008 for his film 'Kanchivaram' has signed a 20 million dollar deal with Woodpecker Pictures and Entertainment Ltd(an Indian subsidiary of U.S.-based entertainment fund Woodpecker Holding). Through his Four Frame productions  he is going to  direct two Hindi films for this deal. The first film which will be the remake of 'Nadodigal', a Tamil film featuring four friends will be started by April 2010 with a start-to-finish 60 days schedule in Chennai, Lucknow and Europe. The second film is also planned to have a similar start-to-finish schedule between September and December 2010.

 

It is alleged that the third project in this join venture may be a Hollywood cast to be taken in Mexico which also will be directed by Priyadharshan.
