Yeddyurappa and Karuna to meet

Bangalore, Jul 1 Reciprocating the good gesture shown to him by his Tamil Nadu counterpart, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today offered to meet DMK leader M Karunanidhi in Chennai tomorrow morning. Karunanidhi, who learnt about Yeddyurappa's visit to a hospital in Chennai for a medical check-up, sent word through his aides, including a few ministers, that he wanted to meet him. Yeddyurappa responded by saying, "I have lot of respect for Karunanidhi... he is senior to me. I would prefer to meet him tomorrow," sources close to the Chief Minister told agencies here. Overwhelmed Karunanidhi then extended an invitation to Yeddyurappa to meet him at his Gopalpuram residence tomorrow. Sources said Yeddyurappa would meet Karunanidhi tomorrow at 9.30 AM along with the state's Medical Education Minister Ramachandra Gowda.
