TN sanctions Rs 1 lakh each as ex-gratia

Chennai (PTI): The Tamil Nadu Government on Tuesday announced an ex gratia of Rs one lakh each to the two persons from Tamil Nadu, who were killed in a bomb explosion in Iraq on May 8.

 

An official press release here said Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, while expressing his condolences to the kin of the deceased-- Ramesh Kumar of Keezha Esanur in Nagercoil district and Senthil Gangatharan of Mambakkam in Kancheepuram District-- announced the cash relief from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Ramesh Kumar and Senthil Gangadharan were employed with a Kuwaiti firm as driver and diesel mechanic, respectively.
