AR Rehman and his upcoming albums
The man who has been in and out of Tamil Industry
for the last two years is back to Kollywood with the
success of God Father. The Living legend gave some
wonderful sound tracks in Rang De Basanthi, which
has been the top selling music album this year. His
steps followed in to Hollywood and his Chaiya Chaiya
was included in the recently released Hollywood
movie "Inside Man". The masterpiece was added as the
Title track and the ending sound track for the
movie.
Here are some Upcoming Music albums by the Living
Legend AR Rehman
1) Jil Endru Oru Kadhal: The title of this Surya
Jothika Starrer itself is a huge success. The movies
songs are almost completed by AR Rehman and the
album is about to be released early next month.
Movie is slated to hit the theaters on June 23 rd.
This youthful entertainer will rock the town for
sure. The movie is directed by Krishna and produced
by Green channel.
2) Shivaji: The AR Rehman Shankar Pair is back
again after a brief break from the success of
Shankar Harris combo in Anniyan. This Rajini
Starrer is the most expected movie of the Year. So
far 3 songs have been completed for the movie. As
usual SP Balasubramanium has sung the title song for
this movie. Vijay Jesudas sang one more song. The
movie is supposed to be released this diwali. Trade
expects the audio to be a much bigger hit than other
Tamil sound tracks this year. We have to wait and
watch.
3) Sakarakatti : As sweet as the title of the movie
will be its songs since AR Rehman is the composer .
AR Rehman has been roped in to this recently
launched movie starring K Bhagyaraj's son Shantanu.
Movie is produced by Kalai puli S.Thanu and directed
by his son. The movie will be released by the end of
this year. Movie is supposed to be college flick
with lots of action in it.
4) Guru (Hindi): The Greatest Director in India
Manirathnam joins the India's Best music composer AR
Rehman yet again. Right from Roja till Yuva their
combination has worked outwell. Their masterpieces
include Roja, Dilse, Kannathil Muthamital, Bombay,
Thiruda Thiruda and soon Guru will be added to this
list. The movie stars Abishek bachan, Maddy Madhavan
and beauty Queen Aishwaraya Rai. Portion of the
movie is already completed and would be gracing the
screens soon.
5) Provoked (English): The film is based on a true
story of a Punjabi woman called Karanjit Ahluwalia
who left India to marry a London-based guy, only to
be abused. She is jailed for murdering his husband.
This controversial movie is already talk of the town
since it is getting premiered at Cannes film
festival this may. AR Rehman has done some wonderful
work on this and is eagerly waiting on the feedback.
Jagmohan Mundhra is the director of this movie and
movie stars starring Aishwarya Rai, Nandita Das,
Miranda Richardson and Naveen Andrews.The movie will
be dubbed in Hindi too.
6) London Dreams (Hindi): Movie on Asian Rock stars
read the caption of this Bollywood flick directed by
Raj Kumar Santoshi . Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan are
slated to play the lead roles. Titled London Dreams,
the movie will be shot in Punjab and in London. This
Musical Theme will have the music by our own AR
Rehman. Movie is a 2007 release.
Projects yet to be confirmed:
7) Isai : There is a talk that SJ Suryah's next
flick titled as "ISAI" starring himself in lead role
will have music by ISAI PUYAL AR REHMAN. This
combination has given us some wonderful numbers form
New and Ah Aha.
8) Ghajini (Hindi):One more news is that Tamil
Blockbuster Ghajini by AR Murugadass is remade in
Hindi. The movie will star Amir khan and Asin and
directed by AR Murugadass himself. Amir khan has
requested the director to rope in his favorite music
composer AR Rehman for this remade version of
Ghajini. Well we have to wait and watch for the
confirmation.
9) Chamki (Hindi): Shyam Benegal has started work on
his next venture, titled CHAMKI. Urmila Matondkar
and Jimmy Shergill play the principal roles in the
movie. The movie is after Benegal's Netaji
Forgotten hero, which had some amazing music by AR
Rehman.Hope they team up again for this project too.
