Aishwarya Rai exhibits her language skills by dubbing in Tamil for 'Raavana'

Aishwarya Rai ,the famous actress and the former Miss World who made her debut in film industry in the Tamil film 'Iruvar' has started to do dubbing in Tamil for the movie 'Raavana'. Since her mother tongue is Tulu and as she was not familiar with Tamil much earlier, other voices were used for her in her other Tamil movies like Iruvar, Jeans and Kandukonden kandukonden. But now, nearly 13 years after her debut in Tamil movies the actress has trained herself to dub in Tamil for the most expected Director Maniratnam's movie - 'Raavana'.

Raavana is a Hindi-Tamil bilingual movie and Aishwarya Rai has recently finished her Hindi dubbing for the movie. It is alleged that though Aishwarya Rai herself offered to dub in Tamil during the starting stages of film shootings, Director Maniratnam did not consider it seriously and arranged for other voices. Mani Ratnam had also arranged a tutor for Aishwarya to help in her dialogues. When the film was over Aishwarya Rai had learnt Tamil well from the tutor and now she is able to dub in Tamil by herself .
