Birthday celebrations of Mata Amritanandamayi


 

COIMBATORE: The 57th  birthday celebrations of Mata Amritanandamayi will be held at the Amritapuri campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on September 27. The celebrations will begin at 7.30 a.m. with a discourse by Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, Vice-Chairman, Mata Amritanandamayi Math. ‘Amrita Keerti Puraskar' will be awarded to those who have made outstanding contributions to Vedic learning and Vedic literature. Inauguration of new insurance schemes and distribution of aid will also form part of the celebration. A mass marriage ceremony will also be held, a release said
