Hyundai opens 300th dealership in India

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the country’s largest exporter and the second largest car manufacturer, reached another milestone with its 300th dealership starting operations in Karur, Tamil Nadu. This expansion drive further strengthens HMIL’s commitment to its customers by bringing its world class products closer to its ever increasing consumer base. Starting with 59 state-of-the-art world class dealerships in 1998, the company has set an aggressive target to increase the dealership network to 320 by the end of 2010. In addition to its 300 dealerships, HMIL has an additional network of 112 sales outlets along with 130 Hyundai Advantage dealers which is the company’s pre-owned car business. All these combined together gives HMIL unmatched access to customers with 542 touch points in 290 cities across the country. HMIL further plans to increase this sales network strength to 610 by the end of this year.
