MOU between TNAU and Mahindra and Mahindra

Coimbatore,Oct22 Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has entered into a MoU with Mahindra and Mahindra for undertaking collaborative research in the area of farm mechanisation with focus on tillage machinery. The research would be purused for increasing the efficiency of tillage and enhancing crop yield, with minimum input of power, Dr S Santhaba Bosu, Dean (Agri.Engineering) TNAU, said, in a release today. The MOU was signed by Ram Manrao, Senior Vice President (R and D) of Mahindra and Mahindra and Bosu for TNAU. Since Tamil Nadu agriculture would mainly depend upon farm mechanisation, considering labour shortage, this type of public-private partnereship would be critical in the mechanisation area, the release said.
