Pasanga to be screened at Chinese film festival

After having bagged the Best
Tamil Film award at the 57th national film
awards recently, Pandiraj-directed movie Pasanga
(The Kids), will now be screened at Chinese Film
Festival as India's lone entry. The film
has been selected for the 19th China Golden
Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival to be
held at Jiangyin City from October 11-16. The
makers of the movie, Pandiraj and producer
Sasikumar, also a director, are scheduled to
leave for China. "Pasanga is the only Indian
film selected for this prestigious festival," a
unit spokesperson said in a release here.
Pasanga by debutant director Pandiraj is the
story of the bonding of two rival schoolboys
intertwined with a parallel love track. A
commercial grosser, the film also received
critical acclaim.
