Revamp Tamil school syllabus - Malaysian Minister

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Deputy Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Datuk M. Saravanan has called on the Education Ministry to revamp the current syllabus for subjects in Tamil schools, news agencies reported.  He said relevant topics needed to be included so that Tamil school students would become well-versed in literature and poetry. Speaking to reporters after closing the three-day Kamban Literature Festival in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, he said many Tamil school students were unaware of literature written by famous poets like Barathi, Valluvar and Illango Adikalar.
