Stalin begins 6-day trip to China, South Korea

CHENNAI: Deputy Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday began his six-day official tour to China and South Korea. According to a press release, Stalin’s tour to these countries was aimed at attracting investments to the State and also to invite companies from those countries to start businesses in Tamilnadu. Besides, Stalin is also expected to visit stalls put up by leading countries in the Shanghai World Expo.

During his tour, Stalin would also visit cities like Beijing and Shanghai in China, and Seoul in South Korea and gain hands-on experience about the urban development and infrastructure projects being carried out by both the countries. To mark his visit, Stalin is expected to handover the first textile machine produced by the Tamilnadu-based Lakshmi Machine Works’ Chinese plant to a Chinese company. He will also interact with the representatives of leading companies from these countries like Hyundai, Samsung, Nokia and Foxconn during the visit. Besides, he will also visit two rivers at Shanghai and Seoul and enquire about the river beautification and maintenance methods in that country.
