Suriya Jyothika - brand ambassador's for Nescafe

Nestle India is implementing expansion plans at its plants in Nanjangud in Karnataka, and Ponda (Goa) while it is setting up a beverage unit in Himachal Pradesh. The total investment in expansion and new projects will be around Rs. 1,500 crore, according to Antonio Helio Waszyk, Chairman and Managing Director. Besides, the company will invest in brands and distribution capabilities. The plan was also to widen its product range catering to consumers of all segments. Mr. Waszyk was here to launch the improved version of Nescafe Sunrise Premium coffee. He said the new product would deliver a richer aroma and a better taste. It was endorsed by Suriya and Jyothika, the celebrated Tamil cinestar couple.

Mr. Waszyk said the coffee beans were hand-picked from plantations of South India and the company had introduced new technologies in processing. He said Nestle India continued to post robust growth in the domestic market driven by healthy volumes and improved realizations. Though there was a continuing increase in input costs, Nestle was capable of offsetting the pressure through its brand presence. He also indicated that there might be an increase in product prices. The company has units in seven locations in India and with more than 5,000 employees.
