Surya thanks Mani Ratnam for what he is now

The music of Ram Gopal Varma directed ‘Ratta Saritiram’ (Tamil version of Rakta Charitra) was released at Satyam Cinemas in Chennai on September 30. Ace directors Mani Ratnam and Ram Gopal Varma, and Surya Sivakumar have attended the audio release function. The trio got nostalgic on stage and recounted incidents that were closer to their hearts. A visibly emotional Suriya said, "Today is an unforgettable day in my life. Mani, with whom I started my career, and RGV, with whom I've last worked, are both together. I'm here today because of Mani sir; he was the one who recognized my potential. Or else, I would still be stitching clothes in a garment factory as Saravanan."
