TMS to sing again in a film

Madurai, Feb 21 Eightyseven-year
old legendary Tamil playback singer T M
Soundarajan, who recovered from a severe
neurological problem recently, will lend his
voice for a song in a new film. Popularly known
as TMS, Soundarajan, known for his ability to
sing in distinct voices for both Tamil film
icons M G Ramachandran (MGR) and Sivaji Ganesan,
has rendered over 10,000 songs in a career
spanning over six decades.

Soundarajan told reporters here last
evening that the song recording for the new Tamil film
would be made in Malaysia next month. He was discharged
recently after he underwent treatment at a private
hospital for some neurological problem. He said his
fans' blessings and wishes helped him come out the
"death bed". Soundarajan last sung for a Tamil film "Gnana
Paravai" in 1991.
