TVS launches auto-clutch bike

MADURAI: TVS Motor Company on
Friday launched what it claims as India’s first
auto-clutch bike, ‘TVS Jive’, priced at Rs.
41,000 (ex-showroom). It features T-Matic
technology coupled with rotary gear and
automatic clutch .The company sees that the new
motorcycle is set to transform the definition of
city riding with primary focus on riding
convenience.

Launching the new bike, Jive, J.S.
Srinivasan, General Manager (Sales), TVS Motor Company
said that, TVS Jive is propelled by a 110 cc engine,
which features innovative T-Matic technology coupled
with rotary gear and an automatic clutch. The major
feature of this motorcycle is the absence of clutch
lever thus making the riding hands free from gear
shifting experience. The bike will be available in
shades of blue, black and red with alloy wheels.
Mr. Srinivasan also said that TVS will be launching the
bike in Andhra Pradesh by the end of this month and
subsequently across the country in March. TVS is also
expecting an increase of 6 to 7 per cent in sales after
its launch. Our target is to sell 3,000 bikes by the end
of the year, he said
