Director
S. Seeman to launch a new party in TN

At Thilagar Thidal of Thanjavur, the historic
capital of the Cholas, Popular Film Director and
Tamil activist S. Seeman introduced the flag for
his new political party "Naam Thamizhar". The
party will be launched on May 18,
the first anniversary of the death of LTTE
leaders including Velupillai Prabhakaran. The
party's flag is red in colour with a Tiger
symbol and Mr. Seeman said that the Tiger
was the emblem of the Tamil Chola dynasty and
that he evolved the idea adopting the Tiger flag
inheriting it from the Chola dynasty and from
his leader Prabhakaran.
Director Seeman who had earlier faced charges
for speeches supporting LTTEs said ,"Tamil
Eezham is not homeland to only the Tamils of
Eezham. It is the homeland of every Tamil human
being in this world".

He assures the party will be in no way similar to the
other parties which are based on castes and religions
and that it will support many issues including Eezham.
Mr. Seeman has also called for a major rally
towards Mathurai on the day of party's inauguration,
marking the day as Black Day of Tamils. Let us hope that
the new party will be helpful to Eezham people who have
and had been through continuing grief.
